肩書き ～電力事業の救世主なのか？！それともただのお笑い芸人なのか？！～
2011年3月11日におきた東日本大震災の復興支援を機に創設。
初代社長うつみようこ、専務取締役佐藤タイジ、常務取締役高野哲のアコースティックユニット、そして、ファンとスタッフからなる「社員」で形成される組織として発足。
音楽を通じ『地域ごとに適応した、地域ごとの責任でつくられる、新しいエネルギー源の確保』の啓蒙活動（これを発電活動という。）を開始し、現在までに被災地やARABAKI ROCK FES’やRISING SUN ROCK FES‘、FUJI ROCK FES、THE SOLAR BUDOKAN、中津川THE SOLAR BUDOKANなどでの出張発電や、自主事業として、全国に３０ヶ所以上発電所を設置し発電ライブを実施してきた。
2014年には30％ソーラーレコーディングをした（１ｓｔアルバム）『はじめての感電』をリリース、業界に衝撃をあたえ、放送局でも扱い切れない作風などから冷蔵庫の隅で腐ったTHE TIMERSと一部で呼ばれていた。
2015年には【感電のススメ】ツアーを敢行し発電の自由化を訴えてきたが、このツアーを最後に初代社長うつみようこが名誉会長へ勇退を決断。
残された専務と常務は1日社長を設け『ピンチはチャンスになる！』この想いを胸に奮闘をつづけてきたが、この度ついに2年間の沈黙を破り二代目就任となる！！
その名はiCas!!
まさかの1日社長から昇格をうけてついに再始動！！

Indies denryoku ( for English )
6 years on since the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake and nuclear disaster and it seems the incident has all but disappeared from the Japanese consciousness.
One band re- fuses to let the Japanese government’s gross incompetence and endangerment of the populace be swept under the rug- Indies Denryoku (Indies Electric Power).
While most musicians in Japan shy away from any type of political discourse out of fear for being blacklisted by the monolithic media, the acoustic rock unit comprised of Tetsu Takano (nil, THE JUNEJULYAUGUST, ZIGZO, THE BLACK COMET CLUB BAND), Taiji Sato (The Theatre Brook, Solar Budokan), and iCas (oreskaband) tackle it head on.
Formed in the aftermath of the disaster, the band uses its unique style of humorous protest music to assist the recovery of the regions affected by the earth quake / tsunami / nuclear melt down, and raise awareness to the ongoing struggle and issues surrounding the problematic energy industry.
As guitarist and singer Taiji Sato states, “3/11/2011 was a wake up call.
From that day forward, the fragile illusion of the safety of nuclear power was shattered forever for me. I now only see 2 types of people in Japan- those who choose to speak up and re- sist the corrupt government and nuclear industry, and those who choose to go back to sleep”

Indies denryoku
Six années se sont écoulées depuis le tremblement de terre du Nord-est du Japon et la catastrophe nucléaire de Fukushima.
Il semblerait que cet incident ait disparu de la mémoire collective japonaise.
Pourtant un groupe refuse que l’incompétence grossière du gouvernement et la mise en danger de la population soient balayées d’un revers de la main.
Ce groupe se nomme Indies Denryoku (Courant électrique indépendant).
Si la plupart des musiciens au Japon hésitent à tenir un discours politique par peur d’être blacklisté par les médias mainsteam.
Indies Denryoku, groupe rock principalement acoustique composé de Tetsu Takano (nil, THE JUNEJULYAUGUST, ZIGZO, THE BLACK COMET CLUB BAND), Taiji Sato (The Theatre Brook, Solar Budokan) et d’iCas (oresakaband) n’a pas hésité à aborder la question de manière frontale.
Formé suite au désastre, le groupe utilise un style unique mélangeant humour et chanson engagée, tout d’abord afin d’aider au redressement des régions touchées par le tremblement de terre, le tsunami et la catastrophe nucléaire.
Et dans le même temps à attirer l’attention sur la question entourant le problème de l’énergie.
Comme l’indique le guitariste-chanteur Taiji Sato : « Le 11 mars 2011 a été pour moi un avertissement. Après ce jour, l’illusion fragile de la sécurité des centrales nucléaires a été brisée pour moi.
Il y a pour moi désormais deux sortes de personnes au Japon, ceux qui choisissent de s’exprimer et de résister contre un gouvernement corrompu et l’industrie nucléaire, et ceux qui font comme si de rien n’était ».
